The Lakeside is the jewel of Wild Berry Farm’s waterside meadows, offering uninterrupted views across a vast, tranquil lake and rolling countryside beyond.
At over three acres, the meadow provides ample space for your ceremony, reception, structure of choice, and relaxed guest areas. Beyond the lakeside itself, the wider estate offers woodlands, rustic barns, and scenic backdrops - perfect for wedding portraits and quiet moments away from the celebrations.
Wild Berry Farm is a working family farm and a thriving wildlife haven, home to rare breed livestock and nurtured by a small, passionate team dedicated to caring for the land.
Ceremonies by the water
Whether you dream of exchanging vows beside the lake or within your chosen structure, our team will ensure every detail feels seamless and personal.
While we are not licensed for legal ceremonies, we work closely with exceptional celebrants who specialise in meaningful, story-led ceremonies. Some couples also choose a friend of family member for a truly personal experience.
Many couples choose to complete the legal formalities separately, then celebrate their vows here in front of family and friends, with total freedom to include pets, music of your choice, love stories, humorous anecdotes, drinks, and other personal touches.
We never charge extra to host your ceremony on site.

Alongside the farm, we own the multi-award-winning Sun Inn, a celebrated gastropub located less than a mile from The Lakeside. Led by Head Chef Pete, our culinary team creates bespoke wedding menus using produce from our own land, trusted local farms, and the finest regional suppliers.
From elegant plated dining to generous sharing feasts and relaxed festival-style menus, every wedding menu is designed around your tastes. A personal consultation and complimentary tasting are included, ensuring your food is as memorable as your setting.

Choose from our thoughtfully curated drinks packages or opt to supply your own daytime drinks - our experienced team will take care of chilling, service, and glassware. A staffed bar service is included within your core package, with optional upgrades to bespoke bar designs or cocktail hours.

From your first viewing to the final farewell, you’ll be supported by our in-house wedding planner, Hannah.
With years of experience specialising in outdoor and marquee weddings, we’ll help you refine your ideas, manage logistics, liaise with suppliers, and create a detailed schedule tailored to your day.
On the wedding itself, our team will be there to coordinate everything behind the scenes — allowing you to relax and be fully present.

Daytime food is provided by our award-winning team at The Sun Inn and is completely bespoke. Following a personal consultation, we’ll design your menu and agree a per-person price based on your chosen dishes and drinks. Menus start from £54 per head for two courses or £70 for three courses, and include:

All daytime catering is provided in-house by our very own exceptional team at The Sun Inn. They will craft you a bespoke wedding breakfast menu that we know you will love. We also have an extensive offering for evening food, but if you’d like to include a food truck or other external caterer for the evening they are welcome.

If you don’t want to take up one of our drinks packages you are welcome to provide your own reception drinks, table wine and toasting drinks, to be served until 6.30pm. We will manage this for you, providing glassware, chilling, serving and clearing, for a per head service fee.

We provide a fully stocked and staffed bar service to be setup inside your structure as part of our core venue package, subject to a minimum spend. You choose the physical bar counter to suit your wedding style, typically from your marquee provider, and we provide everything else. The bar can be open all day or just during the evening and card payments are accepted.

The majority of our couples hold a celebrant-led ceremony or blessing here at The Lakeside, it’s a truly breathtaking and unique location to make your vows. We don’t charge any extra for ceremonies. We are not licensed for legal ceremonies at present, many of our couples choose to undertake their legal paperwork in the weeks or days leading up to their wedding here.

The most important thing you will need to organise is a form of structure - a marquee, tipi or other form of canvas. Almost all of our couples use our preferred local supplier Funky Monkey (FM) Tents, who know our venue well and go above and beyond, but you are welcome to use the supplier of your choice. Your structure supplier can provide a package inclusive of flooring, lighting and furniture.
It’s then mainly about design - styling, prop hire, flowers and stationery - and entertainment. DJs and bands are both welcome.
We provide a planning guidance document and list of recommended suppliers when you book, plus our in-house wedding planner is on-hand to provide extra support and advice through your planning journey.

We love to party, but all good things must sadly come to an end. 11.30pm is the finish time for all of our weddings, when the bar closes and music must cease.
