Annie & Noah
Annie & Noah’s wedding was an utterly joyful riot of colour, fun, and thoughtful personalisation. From start to finish, it was a day bursting with warmth, laughter, and unmistakable personality.
The couple booked their wedding with us more than two years in advance and spent that time carefully crafting a celebration that felt completely them. Every detail was considered, resulting in a day that was as meaningful as it was memorable, a true reflection of their love story and the people around them.
The structure
For their celebration, Annie & Noah chose a statement two-hat giant Nordic tipi from Country Tipis, creating a striking focal point for the day. Their intimate guest list of 60 was comfortably seated in one ‘hat’ for dining, while the second provided ample space for the bar and dancefloor, allowing the day to flow seamlessly from relaxed dining into evening celebrations.
Like many of our couples who choose an outdoor ceremony, Annie & Noah also opted for a stretch tent to provide shade and shelter. It’s a beautifully practical choice for anyone wanting the romance of an outdoor setting, with peace of mind should the sun be strong or a passing shower appear.
For their wedding breakfast, the couple arranged the tables in three rows, leaving gentle gaps between each one so that every table had its own identity. They chose a sweetheart top table, sitting together and facing their guests, a lovely balance of intimacy and connection that kept the atmosphere relaxed and inclusive.
The style
Where do we begin with this incredible wedding design? Annie & Noah’s day was an explosion of colour, creativity and unapologetic personality.
Bright, bold and pastel hues of pink and orange formed the backbone of the palette, layered with pops of white, green, purple and blue. Working alongside the brilliant styling team at The White Emporium (sadly no longer trading as of 2026), the couple brought to life a design that felt entirely personal and utterly unforgettable.
Statement, hand-crafted signage featured throughout the day, with playful nods to Annie’s love of Taylor Swift woven into the table names. Coloured fringing swayed gently in the breeze, while disco balls dotted every corner, adding sparkle, fun and movement. Every element worked together to create a true wow-factor aesthetic that felt joyful rather than overwhelming.
Florals were kept simple to allow the colour story to shine. Dried flower arrangements set into half-disco balls erved as centrepieces and styling accents, tying seamlessly into the wider theme. Bouquets and buttonholes by Florry Florals softened the look beautifully, focusing on delicate shades of blush and soft pink.
In contrast to the bold styling, Annie’s bridal look was effortlessly romantic. Her blush wedding dress, embroidered with subtle floral detailing, felt like something straight out of a fairytale. Worn with her hair in loose, flowing waves, a full-length veil - and, in true Annie style, a pair of white hi-top sneakers underneath - it was the perfect blend of elegance and authenticity.
Inside the tipis, burnt orange table runners lined the dining tables, paired with tealights in brass votives to create a warm, inviting glow. The seating plan became a design feature in its own right, positioned centrally within the tipis and framed by a striking installation of paper lanterns and disco balls. Matching paper lantern displays also flanked the aisle ends beneath the stretch tent for the ceremony, tying the spaces together beautifully.
Hand-drawn signage appeared everywhere - even behind the bar during cocktail hour - and it was these thoughtful, playful details that truly defined the day. Every element felt intentional, creative and deeply personal, resulting in a wedding aesthetic we couldn’t get enough of.
The ceremony & reception
We often speak to our couples about the freedom, flexibility, and personalisation that a celebrant-led (non-legal) ceremony offers — and Annie & Noah embraced this beautifully.
Their ceremony, thoughtfully curated by Kelly Hawes of Kelly Hawes Celebrant, was held beneath a stretch tent by the water’s edge, a romantic setting that perfectly reflected their relaxed and joyful approach to the day.
The bridal party made their arrival in ‘Daisy,’ a stunning Edwardian brass-era style wedding car from MC Wedding Cars. The processional began with the Bride’s ‘Flower Nan’ scattering petals along the aisle, setting the scene for what was to come.
Throughout the ceremony, Kelly beautifully recounted the story of how Annie & Noah met, sharing anecdotes from their journey together and celebrating the life they’ve built side by side. When it came time to exchange rings, the couple’s beloved dogs took centre stage as the star ring bearer - lovingly cared for throughout the day by the wonderful per chaperone team at Wedding Tails.
To conclude the ceremony, Annie & Noah toasted their marriage with a celebratory shot of Tequila Rose before making their way back up the aisle as newlyweds. Guests then gathered on the meadow for a relaxed drinks reception, with mimosas and beers flowing freely and lawn games keeping everyone entertained in the sunshine.
The food
To keep guests fuelled during the drinks reception, we served a selection of fun and flavour-packed canapés, including crispy halloumi fries, spanakopita, roast pork belly bites, and duck pancakes with hoisin sauce — the perfect balance of indulgent and crowd-pleasing favourites.
For their wedding breakfast, Annie & Noah chose a generous BBQ feast that reflected the relaxed, outdoor feel of their day. Guests enjoyed our very own Wild Berry Farm beef burgers and sausages, alongside garlic and rosemary chicken skewers, fresh greek salad, locally grown new potatoes, and warm flatbreads.
The food was plentiful, full of flavour, and designed for sharing, with glasses topped up and wine flowing freely throughout themeal.
The wedding cake was lovingly made by a family friend. Taking centre stage was a brilliantly playful wrestling-themed topper, featuring the bride lifting the groom - a light-hearted nod to Noah’s passion for wrestling and a detail that perfectly reflected their fun-loving dynamic. Alongside the main cake sat a generous selection of beautifully decorated cupcakes, ensuring there was plenty of something sweet for every guest to enjoy.
The portraits
During the drinks reception, photographer Thomas Barstow captured Annie & Noah’s portraits in front of the lake, along the jetty, and across the wider farm estate. Naturally, their two beautiful dogs made more than a few appearances - never far from the action.
Later in the evening, after dinner, the couple ventured out once more for something a little more playful. On the farm lane, with the tipis standing proudly in the background, Thomas captured a series of fun, atmospheric pink smoke bomb portraits - a vibrant and joyful addition to their collection of images.
The party
To set the tone for the evening’s celebrations, guests were treated to a lively his & hers cocktail hour. ‘The One’ (a classic Sex on the Beach) and ‘The Lakes’ (a punchy Long Island Iced Tea) were a fun, personal touch that had everyone in high spirits before the dancing began.
As the sun dipped and the lights came up, Pro Wedding DJs took over, filling the dancefloor and keeping it packed all night long. The music paused only briefly as guests refuelled with late-night Pork and Mediterranean Gyros from our in-house team — the perfect way to sustain the party atmosphere well into the evening.
Annie & Noah’s wedding was the perfect reflection of who they are — joyful, personal, and wonderfully independent. Filled with laughter, personality, and thoughtful touches at every turn it was a day centred around love, family, and creating unforgettable memories together and was a true joy to host from beginning to end.
Couple Testimonial
“We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue.
The Lakeside at Wild berry Farm was everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we pulled up and saw the lake in the sun, we just knew this was the venue. The fields and the lake view throughout the ceremony was breath-taking, and relaxing throughout the day for the guests.
The whole vibe of the day was peaceful, natural, and totally romantic, just what we wanted. We had our ceremony right in front of the lake and it was truly perfect. Later, we ate and danced with fairy lights strung up around the tipis with the night sky coming in and it was just beautiful.
The team there were amazing. Super friendly from the start to end, always on hand, and genuinely cared about making the day special for us. They gave us so much freedom to make the space our own, which made everything feel personal. A special thanks to Hannah would made the process so easy, fun and relaxing, no ask was too big. It truly topped off an amazing venue, to also have such good support throughout the whole two years we had booked.
Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the setting was — and how good the food was too!
If you’re looking for a venue that’s laid-back but stunning, with a team that listens and supports you, The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm is it. We’ll be forever grateful for the memories we made there.”
